Cross-Cultural Advertising Analysis
How is creative branding different across cultures?
You will write a cross-cultural analysis of creative advertising in essay form in response to this question.This task requires you to consider advertisements from one BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) or MIST (Mexico, Indonesia, South Korean and Turkey) country and compare these to Australian advertisements for brands in the same product category.
In total you will analyse and compare four advertisements within the same product/service category – two from a BRIC or MIST country and two from Australia directly applying what you have learnt in Weeks 1 to 4 to identify and evaluate creativity in brand communication.
You will then explain why it is important for brand communication practitioners to know about the similarities and/or differences you have identified.
